Connie-Leigh Rixon, representing Waves Bundaberg, first started playing bowls at just 11 years old, thanks to her family — particularly her mum’s competitive spirit, which sparked her passion for the sport. Using the Taylor Greenmaster Premier, Connie-Leigh values the consistency and reliability Taylor Bowls provide across all surfaces and conditions. One of her biggest inspirations is Jo Edwards, who she admires for being an incredible sportsperson both on and off the green. Among her proudest achievements is winning Bronze at the 2018 Commonwealth Games alongside her sister and mum in the Ladies Fours on the Gold Coast — a moment she’ll never forget. Beyond competition, bowls has given Connie-Leigh the opportunity to travel extensively, meet people from all walks of life, and gain invaluable life experiences along the way. Off the green, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, travelling, and indulging in good food, with skiing in Canada or Japan currently high on her bucket list.
