Shae Wilson, representing Norfolk Island Bowling Club, first picked up bowls in 2014 at the age of 15 through school sport. While her friend decided not to continue, Shae stuck with itβand with her stepdad also a bowler, the sport quickly became a big part of her life. Using Greenmaster Premiers (and occasionally Taylor SRs), she loves their reliability as a strong all-round bowl. Inspired by Jo Edwards and Karen Murphy, Shaeβs proudest moment was standing on the podium, singing her national anthem, after winning her first gold medal. Living on Norfolk Island, she feels privileged for the unique opportunities bowls has given herβfrom traveling the world and competing in the UK multiple times, to forming lifelong friendships and connections. Off the green, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and loves a game of netball.
