Alan Law

Alan Law — better known as “Lawman” — has been part of bowls for decades, starting with Crown Green Bowls in the UK back in 1968 at just 18 years old. After moving to Australia in 1974, he eventually took up lawn bowls in 1979, encouraged by a workmate and introduced to none other than the great Glyn Bosisto. Since then, Alan has built a long and proud career, trusting his Taylor GTRs for their reliability and consistency. Inspired in the past by Rob Parrella, and today by Ryan Bester, his most memorable achievement was winning the Gold Coast Champion of Champion Singles. Beyond competition, Alan has contributed to the sport as a bowls co-ordinator, promoter and magazine publisher, always giving back to the game that has given him so much.
