Lynsey Clarke

Lynsey Clarke (née Armitage), representing Club Tweed, first picked up a bowl in 1995 at just 11 years old at Club Helensvale on the Gold Coast. Introduced to the sport by her mum, and nurtured through the club’s junior program under Dal Mackintosh, Lynsey has spent three decades building an incredible career. A loyal member of Team Taylor since her teens, she’s trusted her Taylor bowls across every surface and competition, which has helped her achieve some of the sport’s highest honours. Her proudest moment remains the unforgettable 2006 Commonwealth Games Pairs Gold Medal in Melbourne, won alongside her idol Karen Murphy on home soil in front of family and friends. Beyond bowls, the sport has given Lynsey a world of opportunities—from global travel, friendships, and media work, to being honoured by her old school with a sporting house in her name. These days, she balances elite competition with family life on the Gold Coast, cherishing time with her husband Brad and their two kids, Kenzie and Harvey.
