Rebekah Lord, representing Cabramatta Bowling Club, first discovered bowls at 14 when she tagged along to her brother’s club to tease him while doing homework. It was Team Taylor’s Sharyn Renshaw who convinced her to put the homework aside and give the sport a go — and from that moment, Rebekah was hooked. She has since built a career using Taylor bowls, most recently the GTRs, trusting their true and consistent line to back her shots. Inspired by mentors like Karen Murphy, Jimmy Reynolds and Team Taylor’s Katelyn Inch, Rebekah has already notched some big highlights, including junior national gold medals and, more recently, runner-up in the Australian Open Fours. Beyond the green, bowls has given her the chance to coach juniors for NSW, grow in confidence, and make lifelong friends — all while overcoming personal challenges with incredible resilience.
